where do you get tire chains?
So where are people finding the best deals on tire chains?
Best I have found is $90/pair and about $140 to ship via UPS or about $490 for 4 pair.

Check local truck shops/stops in your area. I wouldn't think paying to have chains shipped would save you anything.

There is never a "good" time to use them.... I have used them 1 time in 17 years.... My set right now is still in the bag new... been there for 8 years... If I go out west and they ask to see them I show them.. I try not to use them they are kind of dangerous if you get in a hurry or don't know what you are doing.. I have seen them tear more crap up than save crap..

in the northwest they are part of life if your a trucker, they may be dangerous but running with out them is too... and most of the states now have a chain law and if you don't put them on you sit till the law goes down or you risk it and get a ticket or worse..

How about an update on California's war against truckers.
