I think your paint doesn't bead up because of the harsh chemicals in the Streakin Beacon wash soap. I've learned that too after waxing my cab numerous times before going thru a Streakin Beacon.
I little side tracking here..........
But if you wash your rigs at home, shop or even on the road often on your own. I would suggest you look into buying or renting a set of De Ionizing water tanks (basically water softeners). The wax on your rigs will stay on for a very long time (depending on the type of soap you use) and your polished aluminum will stay looking polished for a very long time, too.
I drive a racing transporter and carry our own set of D.I. tanks so we can wash our own rigs when we can at most events and even some hotels we park at for a day or two. And of coarse, we use them at the shop, too. But after finished washing and the water dry's, the rigs look really sharp and even get comments from people asking if we waxed and polished the rigs (even though I didn't do any waxing for a long time). That's how nice the D.I. tanks works.
If your located or get through SoCal much. This is where we get our tanks from: http://sch2o.com/productsservices/de...edditanks.html They are great people to deal with and they have tanks of all sizes.
