I got a buddy who modified his with airbags in the rear and exhaust brake, and the works. He hauls the over 26k stuff all the time. But, IDK what he did to make it all legal. I think, personally, there's too much crap we put up with we shouldn't have to. These regs need changed.

I personally do not feel anything below 26,000 should be subject to the same rules.

I totally agree! That's what I'm saying... I mean, technically, we're not hauling the same weight as say a semi, so we wouldn't do the same damage if involved in an accident, less chance of a fatality in the accident, and so on. I believe that if our registered under 26k, you shouldn't have to run logs, have DOT and MC numbers (ok... maybe MC numbers lol), and so on. It's just more work than is truly needed.

Yeah, I read that.. What crap. It's getting pointless to follow the regs anymore it seems. Why do you think there are so many outlaw truckers out there (though fewer every year, they're still out there).. "Start up" costs are just to far beyond a reality the more they throw out in the Socialist Government we have these days.

This time it's the republicans that wanted this change and wait until you see what is going before the House and sponsored by republicans and everything will pass because they are in control.

I am not republican or democrat I'm independent, The only independent President was George Washington and everything has gone down hill from that time. Republicans have been in control of the house and look at the new laws passed by them also look at the states where republicans are in control. Trucking has hit the crapper and there are a shortage of drivers now and growing everyday. How long will it be before they up the pay for these guys that are working for crap as pay.
