Do you HAVE TO lease to Prime?????????????????

If you hate the forced dispatch check out Landstar, you pick your own loads off the load board.

Prime

I did my first running with werner, then did a stint of time with Jb, and a very short time with usx. My last time out was a very small company family owned. Now the thing I hate most is being lied too, I may not like what you tell me and thats ok, as long as it is truth. lie to me and you lost all my respect. that is just a little reason why I am semi retired of semi driving. but I want to get into a position of ownership and Prime looked like it was getting ok reporting from these blogs, now I have been reviewing your and broncriders comments, and well common senses tells ya. Ya cant fix stupid, and if it looks like a cow smell like a cow and acts like a cow its a cow. So I can see that also works for intelligents too. if it sounds intelligent acts intelligent its more than likely intelligent. So I do valve imput of you guys to pick your brains to find some wisedom.

speaking of intelligence

I think it would be very smart of broncriders company if they made sure he got the cream of the cream in the way of loads. It would have to be about the best advertising they could get, and the price is right too.

I am going to throw out my opinion and say that ANY of the company sponsored FLEACE deals are all in the companies favor and very little to the driver.

If you must try O/O go buy your own truck thru outside financing. There are plenty of places that will finance you, even those with challenged credit. This way if a company is screwing you you can change companies. One of the problems with a FLEACE agreement is that you are tied to that company until the contract is up.

fleece purchase

i agree with brickman, the lease purchase deals arent in a drivers/o/o's favor. the outfit im leased to has one also......but in the end i think you end up paying 60k for a 35k tractor, then you hafta lease a trailer at up to $660 a month.....makes it alittle harder to be decriminating on your loads, not that i am anyway , i just hate sitting. but they do always give me the opion to turn down a load or to choose between them if they have more than one. but the guys doin it are doing good from what ive heard
as far as the gravy loads, you mean those arent the ones ive been getting? lol
i guess we had an o/o get a ltl for $4.85/mile a few weeks ago, no it wasnt me
besides i dont need em to butter me up to sing thier praises, i like this outfit, i just wish they paid alittle better, and could preplan loads to minimize sitting.

well i unloaded this am....this load was just chock full of bad directions....4 sets until i got a good set and could find the reciever
waiting to find out what my next one will be....they are working on a load of flour, and i found one of insulation goin to bozeman...hafta wait till they get back from lunch....so here i am

financing

i went thru my bank, and i had a great business plan, so the sba backed 85% of my loans, which made it ALOT easier

any of the dealerships can tell you what company's they use for challenged credit....mine is just starting to get better as i too had a nasty divorce a few years ago

which ever route you choose, my best suggestion is to have a well thought out business plan, using realistic numbers ( mine were way low for the pay an high for the expences)
if you search for sample business plans that will help you get started, i took two weeks and hours upon hours of researching to get mine tuned the way i wanted it......and the SBA is a huge help....never hurts to look

First of all I would try your home bank. If they are experienced in writing commercial loans they could be as good as any where else. Thats where I had the loan thru for the truck I sold broncrider and was very happy working with them.

Second check with the dealers, they should have access to different lenders.

third you might give Honess a try www dot hones dot com.
I've met the owner of that company face to face and he pretty much looks at all the apps to see what he can do. Even the credit challenged ones.
