one nice thing about this load is its only 16 ft long and wieghs just 21k, so the truck is still gettin 7.85mpg, heres the math...179.7 gallons added today for a total of 1411 miles....ok ok i cheated....i added 25.7 gallons in graybull just to make sure i wouldnt run out goin over that big pass.....it adds 6000 ft in elevation in under 20 miles....but i figured that into my total fuel so its still right...neener neener.....lol

as for my route to belton,sc.....remember you asked for it
us14 to I90 to I29 to I435 to I70 to I64 to I57 to I24 to I75 to I285 to I85....this silly computer says its the shortest legal route

ill prolly be sittin for the weekend reset as normal, so we'l hafta try to get together for a glass of soda...or a schooner...yer choice and my treat

I've done that route before. I forget the exact destination in SC tho. Only I had drilling mud, and weighed 80,000 going over that pass. Thank god for kitty power.

Looks like we won't cross paths untill nashville. I'm routed through Chicago but I won't go that way. I'll go south and run 74 east into Indy.

You are headed just a few miles south of Greenville SC and I'm going to SPartanburg which is the same few miles north of town but I'm being told to go 40 east out of chattanooga to ashville and run 26 south. The computer is sending you way south to Atlanta and back up. Not sure what the difference is when we are only headed about 40 miles from each other.

WHich is better runing, 40 or 85? don't have much experience with 85

Microsoft Streets and trips as well as PC Miller both have him going thru Hot Lanta.
They are trying to route him as much interstate as possible.

I've been on I 85 a couple times, its not bad.

If memory serves me right you will have less hills that way and that will help.
