Love the day by day accounting of becoming an O/O. Keep the stories coming. Good luck and be safe.
Oh yea drivers don't tell any one anything any more especially about bears. Beats me as to why. Sad but true.
Happy Trails

They were chained. Not strapped.

Strapped sounded better. Like a gun strapped to you. Besides who you think you are talking to tarps4me?

the 660 is essentially the same although they did some drastic smoothing on the nose around the grill, the fenders and headlights. the later is a major improvement in airflow. They made the fenders less bulbous and reduced the aproach angles to the wind. There is some other things like some channeling on the skirting to get air t flow up and over the tandems etc too. At least that's what I assume by looking at it.

Kenworth is touting it as the most aerodynamic truck made. Although I have yet to see any numbers for the drag ceffiecients of various commercial trucks. I'd like to see them if anyone knows where to find them. I would think the volvo's would have to be up there too since they are smooth with very little to disturb the air flow over them although there nose has more frontal surface area than the t660 or t600 does

lol

sure is a nice looking truck you USED to own....lol
the only things that have changed so far is the lettering on the side...where it said brickman now says leased to davis trans....an the toolbox doors now say wegner's trucking...and i took off the landstar stuff...other than that its the same minus the howitzers

today was ok, but i hate california and thier 55 mph BS on all roads
ran 309 miles (at 61 mph...haha caldot) an used 43.7 gallons of fuel for a average mpg of 7.07 (7.1...i round to the nearest whole tenth #)
the mileage this truck gets is really nice, i know our fleet t800's average 5.5 to 6.2 (mostly all flattops too medicine man) but thier motors are c13 and the cummins equvalent....they just spend too much time wrapped out to get good mileage i think

planning on gettin new pics of the truck...just hafta get home an figure out how to put em in the puter..lemme try to get one off my phone...brb

well for some reason i cant put them in here....maybe ill try later....or email them to someone who can put them in....hint hint

Hey all. I've been sandbagging here for awhile now, but had to chime in on this one.

Broncrider...this is a GREAT play-by-play on your new venture. Please keep it up!

A little info on me: I am a brand spankin' new BCO for Landstar. I have my own truck and trailer. The tractor is on old '93 volvo, and the trailer is a '98 48 foot Transcraft flatbed. I pulled my first load for Landstar on 5-8-07, and I'm now on my 3rd load. I live in Loveland, CO. My first load after orientation was from Denver to Dallas, then I went from Dallas to Medford, OR, and now I'm on a load from Oakland, CA to Newark, NJ.

I couldn't be happier with Landstar...I am very pleased, but I won't go into detail in this thread...I don't want to hijack a good thing

Anyhow, keep it up, Broncrider. Your play-by-play is kind of like watching a good movie or reading a good book...we want to know what happens next!
