| Roger that. After reading many of your posts, I respect what you have to say and I will treat that info like gold. Thanks for the heads-up, Brickman. I see they are based about 10 miles from my house. I've developed a motto..."Never go TO Denver, just go THROUGH Denver." However, if LMC has some good loads in the area, I could adjust my routine. Traditionally, I have run coast-to-coast, taking loads that bring me through the house. In doing this, I can run coast-to-coast, and still be home every week to reset my logbook. | your post and just a suggestion Hey Broncrider, I am a published author of christian fiction novels, a retired sheriff, and part time trucker now. I would like to make the following suggestion to you. Your fervent excitement of writing these post to relay to others has by fate so to say made you now a writer of blogs. You just might find that later down the road you've come to enjoy this side hobbie of such. Now here is the free advice. Copy and paste and save all the entries your making into a word doc. like Microsoft word or Corel word perfect.. then cut and paste it all into one larger document. When you feel your journey is finished transfer it to a PDF file in adobe. Save that to disc. Take the disc to printer and publish your experiences in book format with a nice big pic of your rig on the front. Believe me what your writing is interesting and as time goes by " A truckers diary of the road." would sell to all the wanna be Owner Operators. 1. because it's factual and written in real time, and 2. because it would be consider a self help tool in marketing area. Bless you in your continued endeavors. If you publish, send me a copy at my addy. |

| Yeah. I got your PM and spent 20 minutes typing out a lengthy reply, but when I submitted it, I lost it all and was told that I hadn't accumulated enough posts to PM. So I tried the e-mail link, and got the same results. |

| that sucks. I forgot about that rule. It's a dumb rule to begin with |

| I started a new thread with the answers. I don't want to hijack this thread anymore than I already have. Last edited by SixBrix; 05.21.2007 at 11.31 AM. Reason: Typo |

The reason for the rule is to slow down recruiters that could sign up, shoot out a bunch of unwanted PMs and then leave never to be seen again. I know it sucks, but the admin did that to try and benefit the members. If you make the effort to achieve 20 posts you probably are not a recruiter or a spammer.

How are you going east? on I80? If so I can tell really easy how to get to the Wal Mart in Laramie, or another large one in NE thats real easy to get to. That one always has so many trucks parked at it, that my wife and I took to calling it the Wal Mart truck stop.
