No door yet, just had other things to do that pay money when I get home! It's on the list, but to be honest, generators are made to be outside, so it isn't that high on the list

Check out powerhouse generators. As quiet as Hondas, remote start standard and tough. Hondas are the best, but not for what they want $$$ wise. I don't need AC 12 months out of the year so it's hard to justify going too crazy spending a fortune. KISS. Each their own. Also check out climate right ACs. Nice units. I don't understand how you guys use portables. They are insanely big in a small truck, the single hose units create negative pressure in the cab drawing air through every gap you have (dual hose solves this) and the heat from the hose heats the cab. You guys with generators that aren't using remote start I don't understand either. Last thing I want to do is go in and out starting it or worse, running it all the time. Depending on where you run you don't need much for many months. Texas during record heat obviously is another story or Vegas. I just get a room when I go to those places, not much money and it's tax deductible. Each their own again. The lesson here is there is no one size fits all solution! Do what works for you.

question about the yamaha ef3000iseb. Does one leave the key in the generator while in operation or just use it to start then remove?

I have a Honda EU 3000 mounted on my internation tractor. I had a welder make a shelf to mount it on. Honda generators are expensive but worth it. Very quiet.
I cut a hole in the back and mounted a bedroom type AC. It gets very cold even in the hottest weather.. Looks kind of tacky on the back of the tractor. Also it tends to leak in the rain. I think the top mounted AC on top of the tractor would be more professional. they cost about $1000. You can hook up a battery charger to the generator to keep the truck batteries charged. -
