Good chance it was not the guy next to you . Some of the hoses these guys have are 30 foot could well been two down watching you yelling and screaming . Call in and report the guy who was parked next to you and he is buying fuel , 50 miles away . Unless you catch them I the act , you have nothing .

You would think of all the drivers there someone would have seen it happening. Heck, we all got cameras on our phones now the least a guy could do is take some pics or something.... Worst I ever had happen was some guy ripped off my mirrors backing in and took off. I was pissed nobody wanted to tell me who did it, you know good and well somebody saw it. I can accept there are a few thieves about, but it's hard for me to stomach that everybody else watches it happen and doesn't do anything about it.

Thieves will be thieves. I know a guy who can drop your transmission while you sleep and you never know until you wake up

I think every good truck stop should have the most recent fuel thief hanging from their sign, by his neck. Right there below the fuel prices. I get mad just having to go in twice to make a fuel transaction, let alone if someone stole my fuel in the parking lot.

Channel locks will make quick work of locking fuel caps. I have no confidence at all cameras would deter or even nail anyone. Somebody tore the hood off a brand new '04 Volvo a company gave me while I was showering at a Peelot. Nobody saw nuthin....... the grainy camera got the door of the truck but could not make out any name... if they want it they will take it, Smith & Wesson insurance is the only kind worth a crap

That insurance doesn't do any good either if you're in the shower.

The S & W Insurance does little good as the THIEF has more rights today than the victim.

I'd say that shooting someone for stealing any amount of fuel - at any point in the last 30 year would probably get you some jail time. It's not like your life is being threatened by some guy with a gas can.
