NO!! If it aint a round trip rate with 100% of tolls paid RUN!! These companies get paid on round trip, usually the same rate loaded as empty, so why are they paying you less!?!?

Also, if you do run a loaded container and they have a "backhaul", that is also bid on round trip and you should be paid for it.....dont let them pay you half a run just because its a backhaul,,,,,

Find a decent carrier like Bridge Terminal Transport or First Coast Logistics out of Baltimore

Hey guys thanks for all the comments, I learned a lot by just reading what everyone has to say.

I did look at BTT here in Baltimore I think they pay 70% of billed revenue

Your rate needs to support a new truck payment. If you drive a paid for vehicle that's gravy for you. Doesn't mean you should work for less.

That still doesn't make 1.10 enough.

What you need to look at is the amount you are earning NOW driving someone else's truck. Why on earth would you go and drive your own truck FOR LESS MONEY?????? Plus you have the risk if (when) it breaks down! That also comes out of your income. Your first cost should be YOUR OWN PAY. If you forget to PAY YOURSELF ... you will eventually realize you would of been further ahead (if not broke) driving someone else's equipment.

$1.10 a mile loaded & .85¢ empty = wondering what the heck you got yourself into in six months! You cannot pay $3.80 + a gallon for fuel and make it at those rates! way better off driving a company truck !

It surely pays a 30 or 40 cpm surcharge above at least the loaded rate and possibly both mt and loaded. Which of course fluctuates with fuel price. Still a terrible dead end deal.
