Well, I find there are alot of good jobs on Craigslist, There are so many people that are shopping around, I am always looking for better but it needs to be really good to get me to move, I need to work on my longevity, I wish you luck finding where you want to run you ads, I have also seen listing on The Truck Paper they have a small jobs section that not many are are of, it is free(I think).

I'm a good driver and reliable just don't have any recent verifiable experience and unfortunately have a possession charge that i served time for in 2005. I just need a chance to prove myself.

With a drug charge, you are all done in the trucking industry. Good luck.

Misdemeanor or felony. Felony you pretty much need to wait until 10 years after your sentence was completed. Misdemeanor is usually 3-5 years, as long as the possession charge was not associated with a commercial vehicle. If that is the case, you're done forever unless you start your own trucking company.

OP, Craigslist is the cheapest and will get you the most views. There's an employment section on this site as well if you're going for the literate-type truck driver.

Thanks Forty. Really it doesn't matter to us what type of trucker they are, we just want reliable guys/gals who actually take the phone interview and application seriously. We do a lot on craigslist, and have gotten "ok" results. We haven't tried the job section on this site yet. We will try that next.

Sorry guys but I refuse to accept that I'm done in the trucking industry!! I know there is a company out there that will hire me, I just haven't found the right one yet.

Sorry but you are done due to the dope conviction. No insurance company will touch you.

I know it is true. I also am a carrier with no criminal record and not begging for a job either. You need to pursue other career opportunities rather than OTR trucking. Good luck
