OK I have a question. I have been out of the game for 5 years this month, and I been thinking of putting my trucking boots back on. I guess it got in my blood. If I do truck again I am considering buying my own truck. I will not get my own athourity at first and considering just leasing it own somewhere. So the question I have what companies will lease my truck since I don't have recent OTR experience although I drove OTR for 6 years, and have ran a truck locally for one of my friends haulin dirt the past year or so part time. Any info on this will be appreacited. And list of the best companies to list to also.

5 years out, your pretty much starting over. A refresher coarce will help if you deside to go that way. There are a few companies that will take and retrain you, not many of which other drivers will recommend. There is other threads on this in the New Drivers post. Good luck.

The new trucking of today will probably require a refresher. Be a company driver for a few months, then go the 0/0 route. Here's a couple of companies that may hire you and offer a refresher or a little training; apply online & you will probably be hired in a day or two.
Ozark (Memphis & 100% no-touch freight/no NYC/no Canada))
Paschall Truck Lines (Murray, KY & hire from your area)
