Recently got my authority and am on a few of the load boards and it absolutely amazes me how often I see a load posted by a broker with the rate listed on the post then a few minutes later it is gone and Landstar has the exact same load listed on the same load board. So I call Landstar about the loads and they give a rate about 20% less than what the original load by the original broker was offered at. I have even seen a few where Landstar posted the rate on the load and it is exactly 20% less than the original brokers rate.

Had no intentions of taking any of the loads anyways since my trailer won't be ready til next week but it still is a little ridiculous.

Welcome to some Landstars freight base.
I'm not saying they all do this, but it has been an ongoing issue and from what I have read on this board.
Landstar Main office could care less seeing how they are building revenue for them and the stock holders

Yeah one of our other drivers showed me a good load from a carrier posted on ITS with the rate on it, followed by the email alerts from a handful of different LS agency codes with the same load at much lower rates later on... ...LS agents can book those loads all they want but I think they are ONLY supposed to be grabbing loads from other brokers to load on Landstar trucks ONLY, not outside carriers. These are the shoddy agencies that you definitely want to keep up a "do not call" list with their agency code on it, and whenever a Landstar broker calls me I always ask for the code so I know instantly that no matter what they've got there will be no deal at all on my truck. Keep in mind some of the agency codes are related to each other, owned by the same agent just different codes for offices they have in different cities.... in the LS DAC report section of this forum there was actually an agent who admitted he does this all the time, said it's just what you gotta do in this business getting started. It was not OZR.

    Usual suspects no surprises there.

When I had access to Landstar's BCO load board the one I really found funny was when the agents double brokered other Landstar agents loads. That happened quite a bit also.

They did a double broker on our last rig move. There were many of their trks. helping us. Then a carrier we never had on our moves. Come to find out he got it from Landstar. busted
