I'm a company driver. We have ez pass and I do all 48. On my reimbursements for tolls for the year I think I only spent about 200 dollars. I never had to use toll road in Texas, and We don't run down 44 much in Oklahoma. If we do, normally get off on 69 and after first toll plaza if going to Texas Dallas area or Down toward Houston. I thought most of you guys did your best to stay away from tolls. Also I don't run Florida much but I guess if you run those areas a lot it might be worth it. Kansas usually get's most of my toll money but that's normally 5 and 6.75 and the lines are never really long. I'm glad we have EZ pass for the Illinois and east coast tolls. Saves a lot of time, and me trying to remember how much I will need for the different bridges etc.

You need to look at the scales. Many of them have cameras on them and on the sensors on the road.

Wisconsin on 90/39 takes a picture when they are closed even.

Was always told EZ Pass discounts were for cars only, not trucks. Never bothered with them due to that & of course the occasional glitch with not picking up the transponders. That & with cash I know how much they are getting, no glitches with them & their grubby little hands in my bank account. ;)

Ohio offers a reduced fee for ezpass compared to cash.

Thanks, will have to look into it then. AM thinking toll roads annual adjustment is Jan 1 when they get to dig a little deeper into your pocket.

My company pays the outbound tolls. It is so much easier to not have to deal with the slowdown and keeping receipts. Draw back is that some states are slow about posting the tolls so it means I wait to get paid.

Driving across Chicago to South Beloit takes about an hour less.
