does a pennsylvania intrastate authority nee MC #?

i was told that PA intrastate authority does no require an MC number to haul loads from PA to PA? is this true?

are household goods and general freight the same?

Thanks , I have a us dot # , waiting on my official authority papers in the mail.

Now is there a difference between hauling general freight like from warehouse to warehouse , what about this household goods stuff? Is it like a moving company? For instance moving from an old home to a more new home?

 

I mean a difference like a pa intrastate general freight authority or household goods pa intrastate authority? Are they different or the same?
