Looks like we may not have time to buy a truck in time to get a few loads picked up. I decided to post something on Uship only to find out they have it so limited now that I cannot even describe the load correctly or put the right weight in. Can't even talk to a trucker. Just supposed to list a load they pick it up...

Is there a better site to list loads? I am NOT a broker so sometimes things like freight class will have to be worked out.

We were able to align a couple loads there years ago but only after talking with the truckers. Good communication helps a bunch...

Is there possibly a board or listing of owner/operators where owners hang their card? I am trying to find a way to find the guys that commonly transport out of my area so I might be able to align with them.

I'm guessing since you post it on UShi#, you 're not paying anything....

Am I going to pay $5/mi, no, probably not. I posted on Uship because there are no resources to find truckers. I am very certain I could run right down to my nearest broker post though in my city and do an ankle grab.

Have you tried Get Loaded or Internet Truck Stop? last time I checked they weren't very picky over there.
Call Dat/Transcore like I said. They want proof of broker authority and proof that you have a $75,000 bond if you don't own the freight. However I am a shipper as well as a carrier and they have let me post some of my excess freight in the past.

You will need to open accounts and pay the monthly fee with these load boards of course.

It's been 8 years since Ive used them but Directfreight.com used to be free but you get what you pay or.

I own the loads. I will look at the ones you posted. I just want a good job at a fair price. I guess I just have an issue with brokers that never get their hands dirty and scrape off the gravy on the top.

If I have to pay a month of something, that would be fine at this point but I need to get loaded, soon. Which would be best for a load owner needing to get moved? Obviously Uship is not the answer.

What part of the country are you in and what kind of trailer does your freight require?

I think I got in trouble to discussing loads here but basically moving from the middle northern states to right smack in the middle of the country on a flatdeck.

I have heard there are not many loads going out of my city or at least not an excess so harder to find return hauls. I am trying to work on that angle by talking with local businesses that ship out of my city. Maybe I could be the back haul. Just never figured out a way to find theserucks people local to me!!! I see trucks sitting everywhere but there needs to be a better way to list trucks from home base so us shippers can find truckers. Or maybe some guys don't want to go home.....lol
