| Great West. The only time I needed to use them was when a Roehl driver hooked my truck pulling out of his parking spot. Great West went to bat for me and got them (Roehl) moving much faster than they wanted to process our claim for their damage.

| Thanks I was leaning towards them but Northland finances their own and Great West has to be financed. Its about $240 dif per year. Sometimes though you get exactly what you pay for, and the Great west agent seems more experienced. Thanks for your input. |

| It depends on several things. Are you leased to this company, was it a broker? If you are leased then it should be itemized in your lease so look at your lease because no deductions should be taken out that aren't in the lease. Some brokers like Landstar will take a percentage out for additional insurance if your cargo insurance doesn't cover the product or you don't have enough coverage. If it was a broker look at the contract and see if it's in there if it's not then they owe you that money back. Quote:

| $1,000,000. Liability should run you around $500.00 per month Comprehensive is usually $4.00 to $5.00 + per thousand dollars insured So if you insure for 60,000, Comprehensive will be around $300 bucks per month.. hope this helps |

| OTR Insurance ? I have my own truck and I am leased on to a company that is charging me for insurance due to my lack of exp (which i understand) . I am paying $700.00 a month, would like to find it myself cheaper if poss. Also with his insurance i can only pull his loads. I have only 3 months otr exp about 40,000 miles if mileage matters. I would like to save some money on insurance part but also freedom to pull other loads. I often come back from a run empty 99% of the time. I know i could find something to drag back with me even for small money (better than empty). I also want to get my own authority which requires insurance. Im finding its not easy but someone has to insure drivers with little exp, after all, every driver started with no experience. Thanks for any help and all advice Last edited by holy roller; 03.03.2008 at 05.39 PM.. Reason: original by my wife while i was on the road.this is more detailed |

| Progressive will sell you some that will give you 400 mile radious. Not great and hard to do unless you got a little deal going on. Works good for me now but my truck is paid for and I also have my military retirement coming in. Still better than working for slaves wages for one of those fine companies that will not even kiss you after they screw you........ |

| Good luck on insurance... I would bite the bullet and get two years experience first. Or, I hope you have deep pockets. |
