It always amazes me that people who make a living with their CDL don't protect it more. I treat stuff like this as a murder scene. Last summer I was charged in a 2 car collision. I plead not guilty and when my lawyer asked for disclosure from the cops, I had more and better pics than they did. Not to come off like Perry Mason, here, but really nobody cares about you except you. The judge will side with the cops therefore you must provide compelling evidence against the construction company or whomever placed the sign.
Stall. Plead not guilty. Find a lawyer. Ask for disclosure. Get the cops to show that they and/or the construction company complied with the law.

Yeah man. Makes perfect sense.

@fortyglock when you say local lawyer, would you suggest a local lawyer in the area of the citation, or local to my CDL card holding state? I'm just clairifing the term 'local' for the record

All pretty good advice here. Fight the ticket, pay for a lawyer. You do not want a 15+ over on your record regardless of what Landstar does because it could effect your ability to get another job if needed.
Last but not least, AZ likes the 35 mph construction zones too. Most of the time it is ridiculously slow but the area on I-15 through the Virgin River gorge is posted 35 and I wouldn't want to try and go much faster than that, it's NARROW!bigNATURE Thanks this. -
A good local lawyer in the area that you got the ticket. Believe it or not when I got myself in a rather large jam in my younger days I got the name of the attorney who got me off the hook from the judge i was suppose to go in front of.
