Well the date is the 14th of June now, my pre-trial date was June 10th and a plea-deal was not reached. The case will go to trial July 08. I got the citation on May 9th, so it's been a just over one month down now. And my lease with Landstar has been canceled until I beat the case.

Thanks for for all the support y'all, I will update again in July..

Well today's date is now July 23, 2014. Got good news y'all! Got my ticket reduced down to 5mph over and I'm so thankful and have learned an amazing lesson. Let this be a lesson to whoever reads this, however good your intentions are, however good and safe you drive, ALWAYS protect your CDL, at ALL COSTS! ,at every turn, at every back up, at every interstate mile, at every country road mile, PROTECT it with all your awareness, Be safe, always slow down to the posted speed limits BEFORE u get to the signs.

as much as this is common knowledge I am RE-STRESSING THIS. Thanks for the support y'all!

i highly recommend Lance P. Jasper attorney in Missoula, MT. But I don't recommend RoadLaw as much. The only reason I beat this ticket is because I WAS in steady contact with the attorney myself by-passing RoadLaw's lullabie lies.

My attorney was going to keep on continuing the case trying to get it dismissed UNTIL I called him personally, introduced myself to him, and told him I was out of work until I get closure on this case.

he says "Wow! I'm so sorry, RoadLaw never told me you were out of work! I thought you were rolling up and down the road!" WOW!!! I SPECIFICALY told RoadLaw about 50times I was out of work and how serious this matter was. And the kept telling me the same comforting lie that they got it in control and will tell the attorney.

they wouldn't disclose the attorney's number to me, so I finally decided to find him on google and introduce myself before my July 22 court date.

after him and I talked he say he would get it amended at court Tuesday and DID.

    NO THANKS TO ROADLAW.

they found a great attorney but the rest was pure trash.

i paid $800 to RoadLaw and owe no more to them. I'm responsible for court costs and fines which I will know how much tomorrow hopefully.

time to get back to work, got my app back in with LS, a fresh physical and DOT. See y'all on the road!

Congrats on the win. Hopefully the Star will reinstate you. They've had a recruiting push lately so I hope it works out for you. It sucks to learn such a valuable lesson the hard way.

To anyone else reading this thread, today or in the future, had bigNATURE not told his company about the ticket, fought it just the same as he did, and had the 5 over outcome, he would have been making money this whole time, and they would have slapped his hand for his 5 over ticket and said "don't get another one". Instead he lost over $20,000 in revenue by the time he gets leased back on. That's a pretty big fine for making a phone call to your company.

Thanks man, yeah I'm going back thru the process now, still have to get my finalized amendment letter, and send it in to LS so they can finish processing my app. Got2 do orientation again, all that.

But y'all, as fortyglock has said ALL this could have been avoided. Learn from me!
