Fedex Ground hasn't allowed contractors to pay drivers via 1099 for many years now. They stopped that back in 2010 or 2011 if I remember correctly. There's a part of our contract now that says we will use W2 employees and cover all taxes, workers comp/ work accident, etc.
Every contractor is different but most of them in my area offer decent health benefits and vacations and safety bonuses and all that. -
Richter, I'm not recruiting through a post. I'm just adding to the conversation. I didn't mention pay or a phone number. I'm just making a point that I'm surprised at the low response to a good job.
