I will call Southern Pride back tomorrow to get the details on the equipment requirements. My CSA score and experience are not an issue. Now it's time to have a little fun with the job.

dang, son, you need to get your training wheels off first and put some rubber in your blood, and most of all learn how the heck to back in what you got now, talking about wanting to play with the big boys, you have a ways to go yet.......lmao

Isn't Southern Pride based in San Jose, California? Or somewhere out there? Not that it matters, I just thought it was kinda funny, "SoCal Pride" :)

Here at Mercer we have quite a few large sleepers. But stepdeck freight just isn't very good anymore. Flat bed freight is much better here. Probably to many step decks here.
But we do have hook ups at the yard for large sleepers.
You'll need a really light trailer for a big house.

The ones I seen sitting a Camp Pendleton pulling military tanker trailers where a leased to Landstar. Drove by and looked at the doors on morning just to be sure.

Southern Pride only takes teams I think. They are a Hotshot Aircraft Engine Transport co and are quite picky. You have to have specialized Flat experience and be willing to run run run. We almost went with them until they said "Team!" You will run CT-FL-San Diego, or maybe CT to AA in Dallas or Tulsa, UAL in Chicago. must be 30 yrs old and be willing to run all the holidays. Airlines don't sleep so if they say AOG (Aircraft on Ground) you have one goal, to get there regardless of weather.

I got a friend that runs for Southern and he runs single. But he's been there for many moons and now runs about like he's retired. So mabe it's changed since he hired on years ago.

Some engines are legal size. But quite a few of them are 11 ft wide. Doesn't do any good to put a team on OD freight since you are extremely limited on when you can run.
