Hi,
I'm a O/O who owns 2 trucks at the moment, have them lease onto Mercer. I'm having a difficult time finding drivers.
I have a driver on 1 of my truck and i'm driving the other, as soon as i find a driver i will by my 3rd and will hire a driver for it.
I will appreciate any help i can get.
Thanks.
Best website to find drivers.

Craigslist seems to be popular among smaller operations in my area. If that isn't attracting candidates, you may need to revisit your compensation/benefits package.

Thanks for responding to my post. I have done that and i have better offers compare to other o/o in the same company.
Maybe i need to be more patient. -
You can always make a thread herehttp://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/trucking-jobs/ Don't just use one website.Think the more sites you post an ad and your local news paper the better your chances will be.

The truck is lease onto mercer in Louisville Ky, but i can have the truck running anywhere the driver decides. Preferably the mid-west and southeast.

Personally, I haven't yet seen any decent compensation / benefits packages offered by any owners who are leased on to another company. The money just isn't there without your own authority.

I also think that Craigslist can help you. Ask around at the familiar yet suddenly there is a person who needs to work, and so will not be difficult to entrust him with the truck.

What I have seen as a pretty enticing benefit to drivers is providing them with a fuel card. Do you do this right now? A lot of companies will provide cards to their drivers then link them up to a discount program and pay the driver a "bonus" with the money they save.
