I guess mileage and use would've been another good piece of info. These are day cabs running no more than 2k a week, if even that. I also get engine oil analyses each time I go as well.

I run a bypass oil filter, sample every 20,000 miles. Went 105,000 miles on my last oil. Change it. Truck has 980,000 miles on it, still running strong, only add a gallon every 10,000-11,000 miles.
if I didn't have a bypass filter, I would change it every 15,000 miles. -
If you spin a bearing you engine is trashed and your block is trash as well. It costs me $1,100 to get my bearing changed. Much cheeper than an overhaul. .... I would rather spend the 1,100 and have a piece of mind that I dont have to worry.

Aprox. @25- 30,000 miles , sometimes I change filters mid service, but mostly winter time; Volvo D13,/2008 , 1,325,000 miles, (original motor except the camshaft, I replaced 2 weeks ago), synthetic Shell Rottela T6 /5w40 only.
