This question is to all the OPS that run with LANDSTAR or any other CARRIER,that requires a Qualcomm or EOBR
If you have a older truck how are they hooking this up?
Is there a AFTERMARKET Device that has been made for this
I've searched all over the internet but haven't found a thing on this subject
I'm aware there suppose to be changing the law for all trucks to have EOBR in a year or two I believe
But I just don't see it being done without a aftermarket device or some kind of newly developed app
My GPS does have the feature for HOS and logging
But that's not acceptable with the carrier
And if you are like me and attached to your TRUCK,
your not going to sell it and by NEW when you don't have to all because of this PROBLEM
And I know darn well you aren't just gonna go out of BUSINESS behind this either.
I have a 95 International prostar (MECHANICAL)
I suppose they will have to hook it up to the ECM
Any information on this will be helpful
And I would like to hear from any O/Os who are currently thinking about going the same route
and Experiencing the same issues and have solved this
Thanks in advance
Landstar needs to hook up EOBR/95 pro star

When Landstar gave me my EOBR I just took it to the Wabash and he hooked some wires into my fuse box and that was it. The satellite hook up is a small black box on my dash and no need for that large white bubble on the rear of the tractor. I am sure the installer knows how to hook-up your EOBR to an older system and maybe it might benefit you in a way.

I'm down south in Louisiana where would they closest location be,
I have the packet and everything to send back to them but I don't wanna go any further
Without finding out if its feasable, they say they pay for it but your truck has to have the hook up for it
Can you tell me what type of truck you own?
and had this done -
I'll have to change that
It looks like a electrical box located on side of motor on driver side -
What motor?

I wasn't aware they still made mechanical motors in 95, learn something new everyday
