    Getting ready to lease on/do orientation with a company, but i have to have my own apportioned plates out of florida. Wont be able to get them till I finish orientation, but trying to get an idea of what i will have to pay for them. Going to be running SE regional. I know there wont be an exact amount but a rough guess/estimate would be appreciated.

    IRP registration usually runs about $2,200 or close to it the first time if you license for 48 states,

    Southeastern regional I would guess around 18 to 1900.Southern states are a little cheaper than Yankee ones. Do not forget you have to have proof of FRUT payment for tag.

    Won't be anywhere near that unless something has changed. Probably in the $1600 range. Only two places to buy it though, Tallahassee and St Pete, so plan on wasting a day. Make SURE you have everything they'll need to issue your plate.

    Yeah, i called down there the other day before i made the trip and glad that i did. Only had half the stuff and cant get the others till after orientation is done. What a pain in the ###....

    I'll warn ya to add any states that are a possibility now, as you have to go to the same places to add states. Next year that system goes bye bye and IRP will be like IFTA, all jurisdictions that accept IRP will be on your cab card, there won't be any adding or taking away states. So you get to learn the way it works for one year.

    It's going to be based on mileages still, just be good everywhere like your IFTA sticker is.

    I live in Florida, but my plates are registered through my carrier in Il. I pay just under $1800 for all 48. The only addition is the annual permit for New Mexico.

    Update: Got them, only had to wait three hours at the DMV on a Friday at the end of the month, so can't complain too much.....cost for 10 states: $1200
