I'm O/O lease to a company who's paying percentage from gross.
What's the time frame to ask to see the rate confirmation ,or any documents related to my settlement.
The law said BEFORE or AT THE TIME of the settlement. Can i ask after my settlement has been made?
    Regards

You should see the rate confirmation sheet/booking sheet before you ever pick up the load. I see exactly what the broker/shipper faxes to my dispatch before I ever pick up a load.

I keep track of what runs I do, deduct the carrier's percentage and any fuel I used on the companies card and know what my settlement should be each week.

My settlements are direct deposited. When my carrier sends me an email with my settlement info, that money generally clears 48 hours later. I get the email on Mondays, and by Weds morning when I check my bank info the money is there.

This is my first go around as an O/O. I do not know what is the norm and how other carriers do it. I generally call the broker to confirm load info and that I am on my way to get their load. Or often they call me. I stay in contact, updating them of their load status.

How ever,.. there is no way I would go pick up a load unless I knew what the rate was. I'm not picking up 40k and taking it 600mi for only $1000. My carrier and dispatch know this. We have an agreement on what loads I will do and when I will sit and wait until something better pops up. There are times they will call me if a load is paying less than what we agreed on,.. its my choice to accept or decline the load.

Are you having any payment issues or concerns about your money?

If I don't have the rate con within an hour of booking the load, I'm on the phone figuring out why I haven't seen it yet, and will not move to pick up a load until the rate con is in my inbox.

Before you load it is best... Sometimes load is smaller than expected and you get a extra pick which some companies will pocket by making first part of load look like it paid less .. You still make a good rate but don't know you got short changed
