Question about APU

    I'm having issues with my APU, it will start but only run for about 2min then shuts off, I can then turn power off then repeat the starting, it will always start but only run for the 2min...Any idea what could be happening here?

    have you checked the oil or water, or belts? they have low water shutoff, low oil shutoff etc etc.

    i serviced it changed all filters and oil, the coolant is fine

    Check and make sure both belts are on and tight(AC compressor is inline with alt,fyi). Check wires at back of alternator(have to remove cover). When the APU does run for the 2 minutes what voltage is showing on your inverter?

    I think the al is code for alternator

    It should be alt for alternator code unless he has lights out or its a different model controller than what i have. My alternator went bad, had the alt code, put new one on myself its simple plug and play.

    Battery isn't being charged is why its shutting down .. Could be the alternator a bad wire or fuse maybe even a loose belt happy hunting
