I am interested in any current info from people who have experience owning or driving a Lonestar for quite some time. Particularly interested in issues with the compter, motors, ecm, and cost of routine maintenance and repairs if any. Also a practical mpg would be great along with weight full of fuel and all belongings.
    Thanks for your input. Higgy

I do not own nor have I ever but I want one so bad it is sickening. They look so awesome but everytime I buy a truck I just can't seem to want to deal with all the crap attached to them.

I have spoken to guys with fleets of the maxxforce and they all say the same thing...... half the fleet down is a good day.

Alot of the guys around my neck of the woods that I called about buying theirs all said they had issues getting into international dealers to get work done all the time.

Navistar took a gamble trying to fight the emissions game and lost horribly and now they put the cummins isx 15 back in but boy did they lose alot of money.

I don't know if your looking new or used but if new the cummins should be ok. They have gotten alot better with their emissions issues but I don't know if a 15L is overkill for what you do.

I just had my finance company offer me a practically brand new lonestar for dirt dirt cheap and it pained me to say no but it had a maxxforce 13 and I wouldn't touch that if it were my only choice.

I just told you a whole Lotta nothing but I hope it helps.
