Trying to find a insurance company that will write a policy for a good rate. I have been getting quotes but seem high. Any suggestions. Thanks

What kind of insurance are you looking for? Liability? Physical Damage, Bobtail? Leased to a company?

If your looking for the best then it's Northland. Your going to pay through the nose no matter who go through.

    Big Lou Thanks this.

Yes need total insurance working for self with direct customers and brokers. Need truck and trailer for dry van. Cargo the whole thing. I have been quoted about 15,000 a year. It amazes me these prices and how people are out there working for so cheap don't know how they do it.

I pay $7,400 a year from Northland. It has a lot to do with your age, where you live, experience, own a home or not and married or single.

Starting out age, experience none of that stuff matters. New authority it's going to be high period.

Oh, and education is taken into consideration also. Why do you think they ask all those questions I've mentioned already? Their not taking a survey ya know!

factor your MVR as well and now throw in the personal CSA and you have your risk.

There's no such thing as a personal CSA. Only Motor Carrier companies have a total CSA score for the whole company
