Well being that you posted in the owner operator section: if you are running your own equipment consider hanging it from underneath the trailer. Ample free space there.

I don't see how you could strap it to your tractor. You stated that the length is 17'. You are only allowed 13'6'' tall. I don't think you will have 17' in length where you could safely secure it. You could probably secure it underneath the trailer. I am with some of the others concerning where you plan on flying. Most places where I have been suitable for flying is not compatible with an 18 wheeler.

Love the replies lol. May post them in the hang gliding forum for kicks. Wingsuits are ######. Most of the places we fly are rural. Park the truck at the LZ and pile your glider on someone else's vehicle for a ride to the top of the mtn. In the flatlands they tow us up behind ultralights, you play chase the ace up to 2000 feet and release. Then climb up to cloudbase and enjoy, or go xc. You can stay up for several hours and fly hundreds of miles if you're good enough and it's a good day.

I guess under the trailer would be the best place, but I was thinking on the tractor would be better if you're gonna be switching trailers. I'm thinking a side mount above either the driver or passenger door, or on top if it's a low flat tractor roof.

strapping it on the side above the doors may cause a width problem. parachutes fit inside the cab very easily. try that instead, in fact you don't even need a parachute to skydive. you only need one if ya want to do it twice.
