    We are a private carrier and haul only our own stuff. We also run paper logs. DOT auditor told us that we do not need a bill of lading and putting on the "commodity" line on the log book sheet "business equipment" fulfilled the requirement should anyone ask.

    You are right on the prize money part. We tractor pull and I told a DOT guy that I have no chance of winning any money because I never win. He didn't laugh.
