The truck is 1999 and has 430k miles on it. WTH does it show that it had historical title and miles are exempt? I am interested in this truck, only because its pre-egr with low miles, but how can I know for sure miles were not rolled back? Seller says truck has been used in household moving services

Get an ecm report to verify odometer.

Typically, vehicles are exempt from mile after 10 years. Least, in utah anyways. Looks like rigdig works the same as carfax. Goes off information that's reported as the vehicle is titled each time.

Don't know why it's not showing miles up to 2009 though.

It's possible those miles are correct, as the trucks sit alot. To be sure, I would check the odometer against the ECM.

When I puchased my truck, it was advertised as 3xx,xxx miles. When I scrolled through the computer, it was acually 1,3xx,xxx miles.

Don't know about the exempt miles.

Some states EXEMPT miles on commercial vehicles over a certain age because their system won't allow for a 7 digit odometer. I know NV does, they exempted our 2012 pete and 2013 kenworth when we switched the registration out of CA.

I know CA exempts odometers after 8-9 years.

Did your 2012 and 2013 trucks have over 1 mil miles? The truck I am looking at is registered in NV, but odometer shows 430k, perhaps its 430k after overhaul...

our 2013 had 100k when we registered in NV, and the 2012 had 296k. They still exempted the odometer on the DMV forms

    BASARAB Thanks this.
