We run the spot market, self dispatch, F2F will help if you are having trouble finding a load.

I hear we will soon be getting our own LB.

Yep what she said ( maybe he, don't know if that's Jess or John)
F2F offered loads is a good side of the company but after being there for a while and establishing relationships with brokers will be your bread and butter.

rollin coal and BigBadBill Thank this.

I don't think either of us spends enough time bumming around the office to know what's about to rattle out of the bosses heads.

You'll just find an empty coffee cup, some doughnut crumbs, maybe some golf tees.

F2F has a dispatch service, mostly the big mid-west lanes. You can provide your own loads off any source and they'll book them for you, factor them for you, pretty flexible. All these outfits, Landstar, F2F, take about 20% of the gross dollars, more or less. They'll dress it up differently, FSC, fuel discounts, per-mile numbers, trailer rent prices and management costs but no matter what you're paying somebody to do a service. It's good money spent, costs are deductible, but deductions are only useful for those who have profit dollars to protect. I've looked hard, really hard, at this, and will one day be on my own, but I won't be making truck payments and I'll buy a trailer. Maybe a flatbed, but sitting waiting for loads, watching your costs continue accumulating, is a hard thing. If I buy a 53' box, I'll be Mr. Live Load. So far, I'm leased to a good company and won't be jumping into the fire until my ducks are in a row, singing my song. (3 metaphors in one phrase!)

when you gona run ander your #s you might not get as good loads as big carriers like landstar or like that, so sometimes own authority is nod the best just more headache
