Annual inspection report written out for a wrong company….Problem?

    The mechanic that did my trailers annual inspection has made a mistake and,instead of putting my company on the report,he has put the company that is financing the trailer for me. Is DOT officer gonna give me trouble for that?

    As long as vin or trailer # is on it that should not be a problem.

    Just in case I would correct it, You never know...can get very anal one...

    Probably won't run into problems, but technically both the report and the (optional) sticker need to have the name of the motor carrier on it:

    I don't foresee any problems as long as you have the report with you. Maybe make a copy and send to your finance company. Under the regulation, the address listed could even be the shop that inspected it, as long as they maintain a copy of the report.
