i have a life and family, we live in the country and have a country lifestyle which is good to be able to enjoy, im not looking to get rich quick im looking to clear 2000 a week and have my home-time still, im 26 years old ive been driving my 1ton pulling a 40ft trailer for a few years for the oilfield but its slow so im looking to get into a semi pulling a flat or hopper. im willing to run under my own dot or lease with a company thats for o/o and that dont care how much you run or where you want to run. im open to anyway that makes this possible.........note: i do understand fuel, maintenance, and other factors go into what you clear and what you haul depends on price just looking for any truckers that have found out the best way to do this.
how can you achieve this in oklahoma

You're wanting to "clear" $100,000 and be home nights for the family? Right, shouldn't be a problem at all!!! Those 1 tons are real money makers!!
You are joking right? -
lmcclure1220 Thanks this.
-
yes 2000 after everything taken out
-
well actually 1tons are money makers in the oilfield, we got anywhere from 3.50-6$ a mile to the rig and most times we could get a backhaul adding to our check, but since oil has plummited alot of us are left with little to no work which is why i stated im wanting to get into a semi pulling a flat or hopper.
i dont jokeicsheeple Thanks this. -
I may would look toward the flat. It's slow as crap for us right now. Farmers are sitting on there crop because of prices. Even the chicken by products and pet food stuff is slimming way up. We are based in NE Arkansas and try to stay in 4 to 500 mile radius. Maybe some other hopper guys are having better luck and I can't say for flatbeds.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
it seems to me that the reality of non oilfield jobs is going to shock the fracking crowd

almost as funny as that 26 okie that dont need much just 2000/week
lmcclure1220 and skyviper73 Thank this. -
Why truck?
There was a fella on CNBC this AM that does 6 figures dumpster diving for electronics. Lots of the stuff is new and he sells it on Ebay. That was NYC though. More dumpsters there.
