I'm sure a glider kit is only as good as the folks putting it together.
But for less money and a more reliable truck,if you can find a way to find financing, you'll be ahead in the long run.

No his didn't, another posted a question and that was his response, I just gave it back to him, if people can't handle the treatment they give? They shouldn't give it, plus in his response to my reply to him, it appears he understood, and another! There's no reason for name calling!

A glider kit is nothing more than an older drive train in a brand new truck. 2 of the 3 components have to be from the same truck...engine, transmission, and rears. Most of the time, you'll get a freshly overhauled engine and transmission, and the new truck would come with new rears. If done properly, the truck should be just as reliable (if not more so, since it typically won't have the problematic emissions systems) as a new truck. Of course some companies will do the installation "in-house" and put a worn out engine and transmission into the brand new truck...in which case, you'll have the same issues with the engine and transmission as anyone else running down the road with a 1,000,000+ mile truck...you'll just look better with the pretty new wrapper.

If you're buying used, repairs are ALWAYS a possibility. Tires are ALWAYS a possibility. Wear & tear items wear out, and mechanical stuff has a tendency to break from time to time. Heck, even a brand new 2015 truck might break down...if there wasn't that possibility, there would be no need to offer a warranty. Unfortunately, warranties don't cover down time...or lost customers when their freight is late because of a breakdown.

This is an expensive game to be playing...
