I am doing research on trucker apps in the market. What do you use to find loads? Are there websites or apps that help with this?

Have you heard about load boards?

Yes, are they good, do they work? Some people say they're good, some say they're not. Do you ever have to wait days or can you find a load easily?

  5. In simple terms. The load boards are like the stock market. The closer you are to the posting the quicker you can get the load.

The higher dollar services cost a lot, (example $300. /month subscription, not an exact figure)

So the HDS sees a load at noon. Can bid or pass on that load. Now the low end service ($10/month). Gets what ever loads that trickle down. From companies who pass on them.

You get the basic idea. Pay for good access to load boards, get a chance for good loads.
Skimp or use truck stop load boards you get what you get. You might pay for your fuel. Maybe

Kmiles, you're just going to have to jump in. More than one source is one of the most recommended, running on load boards until you get some good customers seems to be the best result. Usually takes a year or more. Brokers, factors, all of this material is a big percentage of the entire Truckers Report forum. Search around for a while, you'll find a lot of valuable, factual, information. Nobody is going to do it for you, so you might as well start soon.

Just search for any freight loadboard and you will get 100% member supposed broker results with all freight being 100% brokered.

@Starboyjim thanks for the advice. I have brokers saying they can't find drivers and carrier relations is one of their biggest headaches. I already have an app that shows them prices people have paid. I'm trying to figure a way to get drivers interested, because I think it could be more efficient.

I agree no way but to jump in. I've already posted on a few other sites and I heard a big need for facility information. For example, overnight parking, bathrooms, nearby restaurants, receiving dock info, yard layout, etc. Now I need to bring this all together to make it easy for drivers to use. Would you be willing to use it for free and give me feedback when we launch in a couple months?

How about a low percentage maybe? All that information is in a permanent state of flux, so what is available on line may or may not be what's actually out there in the real world. It's part of the learning curve. If you could shorten that curve, that could be great. If it actually does it.

I just read an article about who's going to be the next uber of freight transportation. I wonder if/when that will happen?
