I also had a injector changed in the summer put the mechanics didnt changed the gasket i can see oil moist i also asked for a tune up but im not sure if they did it cause i was charged 1000 for changing injector 1 and an oil change also when we put the computer on it brings up an inactive code of the actuator we test it it comes back ok you guys think that could be the issue? Also sometimes truck doesnt feel as strong

Winter blend fuel always gives lower fuel economy over summer blend.
What do you haul? Flatbeds do worse then vans. Heavy haul gets the worst. But u said 75k in weight. -
Have them check your air to air cooler for cracks, pressure test it. That also has to do with fuel mileage. I always have W W Williams Detroit diesel work on my motor.
nunofreddy Thanks this. -
I haul flatbed yes average of 75k is my weight so ur saying the blend makes a difference but 1 mpg drop its a lot

have you had the overhead run in the last 200,000 miles? i see you are from chicago are you running blended fuel or just #2 fuel? with as cold as it has been and high idle time, that alone could be part of the problem. lots of luck
-
I put only #2 diesel i sleep with the truck off cause i have the webasto heater and im getting that dam fuel mileage i had an injector changed i told them to do an overhead but honestly i dont think they did price was low you think freightliner are good on overheads or should i just look for a good mechanic to do one? -
i can't swear for everyone else. but i difference about .75 between winter and summer. and i also pull flat.
have the complete system related to your turbo tested. if you have a leak. or a turbo not spinning at full revolutions. that'll drop you.
i was in the low 4's when that turbo almost went out completely. 05 isx 450 motor. it jumped to mid 5's once the turbo was rebuilt. had the computer flashed to get rid of all company specs. full horsepower jumped it to low 6's. i wasn't spending as much time with the pedal to the floor climbing hills.77fib77 Thanks this. -
