What makes you believe they're dying or desperate to hire in the Dothan area? Versus just the normal desire to hire a driver.

If that sign on bonus includes a college cheerleader issued with the truck than you know they are desperate. Until then they are just aggressively recruiting drivers. ;)

I notice their hiring area excludes much of the center and mountain states area of the nation

No customers there. From Minnesota east along I-80, I-95 from NJ to Florida, I-75 from Florida to Ohio, a little bit of the Deep South, SoCal, Oregon (from Salem to Portland) Washington (from Vancouver to woodland, then the Sea-Tac area) Spokane, Boise out to Twin Falls in Idaho plus the western panhandle. That's where most of our freight is.
