I personally think they are over priced for what they are.
But then, who knows,.. maybe you can negotiate?
Should be decent trucks. Lots and lots of them coming on to the market.
HurstEzrider_48501 Thanks this. -
i think there are better 379's on the market for the money they want for them
-
thanks hurst..also does anyone know of a good dealer not just some bobs truck sales.looking for a good peterbilt dealer with pre owned
-
thanks.yeah i agree i been finding some now with less miles for the same price

You don't want those cat motors...fuel guzzlers plus more expensive PM'S due to certain filters fequired...
MZdanowicz Thanks this. -
Careful with these shady small dealers especially in the tri state area. Pennsylvania (except Philly) has some really nice and well taken care of trucks, lots of old timers that only used their trucks on the farm or to run regional, so they have service records most of the time and low miles. Pops knew some people that got some good deals at the Peterbilt dealers in Richmond, VA and Dunn, NC also check out Kenworth of Youngstown, OH and Liberty Kenworth in Chester, PA good people there. -

I drive a 2003 379 EXHD, I average 6.5 miles to the gallon with loads over 80,000, Truck has 550 cat with a 13 speed, so this cat gets great fuel mileage,
DrtyDiesel and timmyleeds Thank this. -
To me this will be my biggest investment to date, if I am to buy any other truck I am just gonna feel like I settled for less and will just sell it to get what I want.
The KW in my sig belonged to my dad, my father in law runs it and regularly pulls 80,000 all week long. Its got a 3406C, turned up pump, 13 dbl OD 3:55 rears and lo pro 24. He runs it around 65 mph and has shown me himself that it can average in the 6 mpg. So fuel mileage is not a huge concern to me with CAT, I just want a premium truck that if I ever have to get rid of it I know I am not gonna lose out on much when it is time to sell. Plus they look good!timmyleeds Thanks this.
