Carrier VMT Outdated. New authority.

    Hello
    I've got my mc and usdot, filed boc3 and insurance. However it shows that operating status is not authorized and carrier VMT outdated. What could be a reason?

    VMT = vehicle miles traveled. You self-report how many miles your company drove in the last year, but VMT has nothing to do with your authority being inactive.

    It may take a week or two for the FMCSA to update your authority status once they have what they need (insurance & boc3)

    Go to the FMCSA website and look up your company on there. See if it shows that your insurance is up to date. The insurance company has to do the filing for you with FMCSA.

    Update your MCS150 for your vehicle miles traveled.

    FMCSA website is updated with insurance the next day after I've got policy however it still says application pending.
    I was going to update MSC150 for vehicle miles traveled but it's new authority and there is no miles traveled yet, unless I can put estimated miles for this year.
