    I wondered about this as well. If a DOT officer said something about there being no DPF could you tell them the truck is a glider? Or is there some way they would know.
    Are gliders legal with no DPF as long as your not in California?

    Gliders are legal without it outside of CA but DOT can also tell if its a glider. Your best off finding a pre 04 truck that's in good shape and well maintained by 1 or 2 owners. They are out there, might mean taking a few long road trips to find one.
