Last week, it happened twice to me that I got stuck at the terminal over night because the guy closed for the night and I then got late to my next load. I've always wondered how long others usually have to wait at pickup/drop off and how often this overnight #### happens to you. I'm driving a 53'' DV. Thoughts?

Usually have to wait until the guy ahead of me is finished getting loaded (0-60 minutes) and typically have to wait until I pull my tarps/chains/straps off to get unloaded (15-30 minutes). If they want to play games and make me sit and wait, or they're staging a dozen trucks at a time, I don't bother booking another load with them. I know what their shipping and receiving hours are before I book the load, and flatbed is mostly a 7am-3pm industry (sunrise to sunset if you're lucky), so if I'm not there by 3pm, I know I'll be waiting overnight. I usually run regional so I'll drop a load, load another, get some miles behind me, and shut it down around 6pm-midnight and wait until morning to kick it off, then do the same thing the next day.
