Hissing at the dashboard

    I have a 2007 Volvo 670 .and every time I apply the trailer air I started hearing a hissing.it's not effecting my air supply really but there is just noise at the dash doesn't happen when bobtailing .any info would be helpful thank you.

    If the hissing is continuous, and doesn't stop shortly after applying trailer/emergency air, then it's likely a leak somewhere on the trailer (especially pancake diaphragm).

    Do a normal DOT leakdown test with the trailer attached, and see if your air pressure holds.

    Im with heavy haul, might be a big snake up in there waiting for you to go to sleep.

    If it's at the dashboard, could be the air control valve behind the dash. A pleasure to access.

    That's what I was thinking maybe, they do wear out eventually, but now I'm wondering if it's not a copperhead lol. They're real easy to access in a KW just 4 screws and you have access.

    I heard the air coming from the dash one time, so I replaced the dash valve. still heard the air rushing somewhere. I forgot what is was, but is was a air line, or brake chamber or something on the truck, the sound I heard was just the sound of air trying to keep up with the leak, but the sound was not where the leak was.
