Louisiana refuses to let me get trucks registered ive hit a road block
I have several owner operators leasing on with my company. I need to get there trucks registered in Louisiana before I can do the IRP yet they tell me they have to be a resident of Louisiana and the company cant do it cause it doesn't show the company name on the title but yet I know other companies are able to accomplish this I don't know what else to do but shut my doors to my company that's been in business for 3 years
Louisiana wont let me register trucks

you might need to show a lease agreement, should be able to do it if your business address is louisana
-
i offered the lease agreements that is only taken for the apportions not for the registration which i need before it can be apportioned

Something is wrong, I live in California but am leased to a carrier in Wisconsin. Registration and plates are through the carrier so I have everything showing Wisconsin plates/irp/ifta etc and my title is California. Renting a trailer plated in Maine.

How did they do it?
-
Umm. The apportioned plate IS the registration. All you need is a copy of the title, copy of the paid 2290 and you can get your irp plate.
RedForeman Thanks this. -
no yes its the registration but you have to register it like you do any regular vehicle first then you take that registration do your irp and receive your plate and cab card
