There are allot of companies on Craigslist advertising for O/O's with belly dumps in South Texas and North Dakota. How do you find out if theses guys are good to work for? Pay is on time and all that. Thanks for the help.

Like any other job start investigating. The only problem you will have right now is a lack of work. Since the price of oil has dropped many of the wells in North Dakota have slowed production and drilling new has gone down as well. I would assume its the same for Texas. Call the companies and ask to speak to other O/O. Get their input on the company. With the economy there is no way I would lease/own my own truck. Just saying!!

Thanks Gazoo, just thought someone might have a data base started. Kind of like a Yelp thing for truckers, 5 stars if they are good, less stars if not as good. Maybe I should start one! Lol.

Work hasn't died out as bad in South Texas... But what was happening before I left, was they where cutting wages... You either took the cut or started walking.
There is way to many guys with little experience that are willing to work for cheap... So be aware.gdyupgal Thanks this.
