I need to buy a truck . Just a inexpensive one . Tired of the company driver problems I have been getting lately . Been hauling grain a couple months now the price is down so owner wants me to park it and commute 300 miles , from home on weekends to job during week , driving a barrel trailer around town doing that crap kind of work that I already did my time doing so i could move up in the industry , until prices go up . Not happening . So I want a truck of my own that i can lease out . Probably haul grain or maybe an end dump .

So where is a good place to buy from ?

Also anyone interested in doing a lease to since I will not have my own authority could reply . I have a good record . 8 years experience mostly local . A few months regional 4 states . Not wanting van unless drop an hook but would prefer end dump or grain hopper or flatbed . anything where I do not drive around town a lot .Prefer long runs .

Wow eight years of driving must have made him independently wealthy. Partner with someone or a company to help through the lean times.

don't buy from arrow,,few years ago I was at a repair shop used by arrow,,the engine on an arrow truck had high miles and needed new piston because a valve broke , arrow only had one piston replaced. the shop had to remove the head and oil pan and for a few hundred more could have done a complete inframe,,they are famous for patching up trucks and not anything more that to get a truck running,,

Lone mountain hasn't been bad. Be ready to put up money on any used truck u get. It's not like finding that old low mile lincoln town car that belonged to a grandma, only selling cause of HER age. Lol by the time I finsh paying mine off later this year, I will have paid almost as much as I would have on a new! But it's all good my truck is like new now! Good luck

Might not be all peaches and cream but certainly better than making not much and worrying about losing a job do to boss not thinking he is making enough off of what he chose to do . Leasing out to a company that does grain as a normal business plan is much better than someone who did it as a side note because someone told him it would be good .
If I own the truck then I can do with it as I please and that means not hauling trailers I do not want to haul . hey , do you haul grain , flatbed , end dumps , belly dumps , reefer , dry , ..... or do you have a preference ? Personally I have a preference for the type of work I want to do and I see no problem pursuing that instead of some job I would not like . Your job is 90% of your life and if you do not like then your life is going to suck in general .
