I'm an owner operator currently running under someone's authority. I'm looking into getting my own authority and need information regarding services similar to what Foley Services provide, like filing for my authority and keeping all necessary files and paperwork to maintain DOT compliance.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There are quite a few of these companies helping (?) drivers become fully independent. Just be ready for the learning curve once you've got the paperwork all straight. I believe that if you're "running under someone else's authority" that makes you an Independent Contractor.
