"I was driving 70 mph and was getting bad fuel mileage...." Hmmm?Streamer, Joetro and double yellow Thank this. -
Why blow dirt out of the air filter when a replacement is $50 or so? And I thought he checked out the truck "real good" when he bought it?
I'd keep going but my head hurts now... -
Whine, Whine, Whine.... Somebody bought a truck without the funds to back it up. Oh, and CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE! It really does save tires.
-
Doesn't do much good looking a truck over if you don't know what you are looking for .he saw lots of tread on the tires and figured they were good, I'll bet he did not look at the casings which were probably dry rotted as he doesn't even know how long the truck sat. Talk about taking a gamble.
double yellow Thanks this. -
The dealer had a shiny w9 and the buyer couldn't see past the shine. Used truck dealers are just like used car dealers without the plaid coat and striped pants. Story is only going to get worse.

$1200 for road services and he's broke? Wow. Just ... Wow.
I would be ecstatic if that was all that went wrong for with my truck. 2nd week, ECM took a crap. 3rd week, heat/ac controller. 5th week, cracked exhaust manifold (found bad precooler when changing). 7th week, front blower fan. There are several other smaller items as well. It's part of owning a used truck. And I was somewhat financially prepared for it PRIOR to purchase. That fella needs a ton of luck on his side.Joetro Thanks this. -
a soon to be company driver.....

Something tells me a truck will be for sale soon.....

If he can keep going and get himself out of the hole then more power to him. But...the first thing that I noticed was he said the dealer would finance him when nobody else would. The second thing I noticed was he bought a T600 and it has a pre-2001 dash in it. There's nothing wrong with buying an old truck but if you have to finance a truck like that you're probably not ready to be an o/o. That being said, I would like nothing more than for him to prove me and the other posts wrong.
Joetro Thanks this. -
I'm not wishing he fails.
Your sig kinda hits the nail on the head here
