OK, after I typed that I figured it was those sort of things you were talking about.
As for tires I would find some good used ones. You'll be able to get them for about half price and they'll probably run you a yr, or close to it.
Is there a farmer's co-op near you? They would be a good place to check, as well as most truck tire shops should have some thing. You won't have a matched set, but tread depth is more important than that right now. -
I doubt anyone is getting a set of bridgstones for $1500. But I'll look into it. Problem is I gota get on with them before I can get that.
That $3000 is cheap tires but it is the mounted nd ballanced price. Well $2800 actually -
Who ever that was was probably lying to you. I don't remember getting that good of a discount on National Fleet pricing. Usually national fleet pricing is in the range of $50 to $120 less per tire than Joe off the street can get. -
The $3k,Actual $2800 minus the grand discount,Minus the full service with a smile, and you come up with half the $3k,And a new set of premium rubber. It is not advised by me to purchase brand new rubber ,then put in for Landstar.

Do you realize how hard it is to read your posts? I'm not being a dink, I honestly have t read your posts 5 times to try and get a grip on what you are saying. I know this isn't the first time I have said it.
But in response to what I think you are saying.
That price is for a set of Dayton drives. A set of Michelins is over $4k. I never looked at bridgstones since I don't like them.
I believe Eskimo said he pays $500 per michelin mounted with his fleet discount. I could be mistaken though I'd have to go search for the thread -
I realize that is your Issue. And I am being a dink.

If that were even remotely accurate, I would go lease one of my extra trucks onto Landstar tommorow just so I could buy two truckloads of those tires and then quit the next day.
And MM, you were accurate with your quote of what I pay for Micks.
